Fish of Galveston Bay

Bottom Dwelling Fish
Benthic dwellers also known as bottom dwellers live on the ocean floor. These animals live in a very unstable environment. Shifting sands and mud caused by tide, wind, current, and wave action causes these animals to have interesting adaptations.

Surface Feeders
The surface of the water receives the most amount of light. Therefore this zone has the greatest food source of plankton.
