General Laboratory Safety Training

This course is typically offered once a year, usually in June.

Topics include
• Emergency response
• Safe laboratory practices
• Safety awareness
• Material Safety Data Sheets
• Disposal and storage of chemicals

This course is for anyone who has NOT previously attended a Rice sponsored laboratory safety course.
(Graduate students do not have to take this course; they take one given by the chemistry department when they first come to Rice.)

We meet for 2 hours in the Biology Basement, Room B03.
I have room for 25 students.

I send an e-mail to the BCB department list several days before the course is offered.
