Offhand I can think of four games which are both very, very good and not
very difficult. All four are fairly short and can be found on the
archive. These are, roughly in order of difficulty:

1. Photopia from this year's competition, which I can't comment on more
because the competition is still going and I don't want to risk
disqualifying it. But it's very good. You are unlikely to get stuck.
(Well, one guy did manage to pull it off. Neil. :) )

(There are two versions in the directory, read the readme and take
whichever is appropriate--probably photopia.z5)

2. I-0, a very funny piece of work and the 1997 XYZZY Game of the Year.
I can't think of a description of it which wouldn't misrepresent it
somehow, so I'll just say it's good and leave it at that.

3. John's Fire Witch. This is a very nicely constructed and incredibly
fun dungeon crawl. In the author's words it's a "snack-sized" game.
There are plenty of puzzles, but they are none too difficult, and all
are well-done and clever.

4. Spider & Web, my IF fave-rave. The puzzles aren't too bad and are
quite forgiving (although the end gets a bit rough), and they're some of
the most _satisfying_ I've had the pleasure of encountering.

HTH. HAND.
