I am glad not all IF has to be experimental -- or I wouldn't be interested in
playing it or writing it.

I think John's Fire Witch is a nice little game. Doesn't take too long to play
and the puzzles aren't too hard. It also has a nice twist on magic.

I've never actually finished it, either, though I came close to the end. I
played it long ago and didn't have time to replay/finish it for the bookclub
selection.

But I definitely recommend it for beginners. And for beginners looking for
"games".
