The Arabidopsis CaM and CaM-like (CML) family

Chromosomal positions of CAMs and CMLs

The image below depicts a schematic of the five chromosomes of Arabidopsis. Segments of chromosomes believed to be duplicated are joined by colored bars. Black horizontal bars represent the locations of various members of the CaM-related gene family. A subset of the CAMs and CMLs are in regions of chromosomal duplication. Some of the tandem arrays are likely to have originated before duplication and others are likely to have originated after duplication.
